„An einem so außergewöhnlichen Projekt teilzunehmen hatte schon einen ganz besonderen Charme.
Die fotografische Begegnung in Thomas Buchprojekt war die einer ganz anderen Art: nämlich ein Duell mit den Reizen und Waffen der Frau - eine aufregende Herausforderung für mich. Marianne und ich haben uns in unserer ganzen sportlichen Karriere gemessen.
Ich wusste nicht, was Marianne für Bilder mit Thomas macht, so wurde mein Ehrgeiz auf eine ganz besondere Art und Weise angestachelt - da werden die Urinstinkte von uns Frauen geweckt ;-). Marianne ist für mich viel mehr als nur ein sportlicher Gegner, sie ist eine geliebte Freundin. Das macht den Wettkampf, das Siegen oder Verlieren nicht einfach - aber so ist das in unserer Freundschaft. Rot ist die Farbe des Blutes... Rot ist aber auch die Farbe der Liebe.″

‶To take part in such an extraordinary project was exceptionally charming.
The photographic encounter in Thomas book project was of a very special kind: Namely a duell with the allure and the weapons of a woman - an exciting challenge. Marianne and myself have competing against each other our entire sportive career.
I did not know what kind of pictures Thomas was going to do with Marianne, therefore my ambition was incited in a very special way - here our primary feminine instincts are activated ;-). Marianne means much more to me, more than „only“ a sporting rival but a beloved friend. This fact does´nt make the competition, winning or loosing, very easy - but that is how it goes in true friendship. Red is the colour of blood...just as well as it is the colour of love.″
